About Us

Originally formed as an internal construction management platform for a real estate investment firm in 2012, Jane Street Construction was created in 2016 with the mission to help alleviate the anxiety we all feel when going through the process of improving our homes. Most of us don't know the first thing about the cost, process or intricacies involved in a renovation, addition or creation of a home, and when you hear the horror stories of deceitful contractors, insufferable delays, cost overruns and shoddy work, it makes you question whether or not the process is even worth undertaking.

We understand that feeling more than most.

When we started hiring general contractors to work on our properties, we experienced all of the headaches associated with a construction job. Even with considerable construction knowledge, daily oversight and laborious vetting, issues would still arise. Eventually, we decided the only way we could assure that the job was being done the right way, on schedule and on budget, was to do it ourselves.

Since that time we have renovated, expanded, or developed dozens of homes and we found the key to assuring satisfaction for both parties over the course of a project, is communication. It is our responsibility to be as thorough as possible in the planning phase, identifying a complete scope of work, timeline, budget and risks associated with your vision. Construction projects have a lot of moving pieces, and constant communication over the course of the project will ultimately ensure that you are always comfortable with exactly what is going on in your home.
